Electrique Baroque is an electronic music festival held in Ludwigsburg, Germany. Taking place in the courtyard of the Ludwigsburg Palace, the event offers an festival experience like no other.
The central theme is the juxtaposition of elements of modern dance music against the stunning baroque architecture of the 18th century palace; as world-famous house and techno DJs play to the crowds of dance music fans, accompanied by spectacular lighting displays and visual effects.
At the debut edition, Fritz Kalkbrenner and Stephan Bodzin were among those playing across the course of the thirteen hour party.
Ludwigsburg Palace is one of Germany's largest Baroque palaces, built in the early 18th Century. For many years it was the royal residency for the historic German territory of Württemberg.
