Ibiza-style beach rave Storyland Festival is an historic electronic dance event in Cartagena that now attracts over 30,000 fans to its shores every January.
With previous headliners such as deadmau5, Steve Aoki, David Guetta and Armin Van Buuren, it's easy to see why Storyland has become so popular. And due to extreme demand, the festival has upped its duration to run an entire week as the exclusive VIP events as well as other pre-parties on rooftops, pools and islands warm up for the festival itself.
A modern port city on Colombia's coast, Cartagena is both a popular beach destination and also full of charm, with its walled Old Town, full of 16th-century plazas, cobblestone streets and colourful colonial buildings.
The easiest way to get to Cartagena is by plane, flying to Rafael Núñez International Airport which is just 4km outside of the city centre. From there, you can easily reach the centre via taxi, costing cost around €5.
