Over two decades of excellence
Sziget Festival is one of Europe's biggest and most famous music festivals, held each August on the lovely Óbuda Island in the Hungarian capital, Budapest.
2020 will see Sziget celebrate its 27th anniversary, and it's no wonder it's been going that long when you consider the long list of incredible artists it has hosted throughout the decades, including the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Kendrick Lamar, Muse, Ed Sheeran and Rihanna, who topped bills that featured over 1,000 artists from across the genres - rock, indie, dance and pop.
Along with the amazing music, there are also a whole range of other activities for festival-goers to enjoy, including a cinema, theatre, contemporary circus shows, sporting events, and even a beach along the Danube in which you can swim in.
This year's lineup hasn't been announced yet but the 2019 edition featured Ed Sheeran, Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, Post Malone and many more.
Óbuda Island is in the north of Budapest on the Danube. But it isn't just the island where Sziget takes place, with the entire city lighting up for a week of non-stop partying.
