Utopia Island is an electronic music festival in Germany. Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, the festival combines water-filled fun with an international mix of artists and is held on the banks of the lake at Moosburg's scenic Aquapark.
2017's artists will once again play across several different areas, each with their own distinctive genre twist, meaning Utopia Island covers all shades of the electronic music spectrum. This year's lineup features the world's number 1 DJ Martin Garrix, German hip hop group K.I.Z, a live set from Netsky and underground artists Art Department.
Away from the music, festival-goers will also have the chance to kick back on the lake's golden sands, go for a dip, or get up high on the site's ferris wheel.
Utopia Island takes place at Aquapark Moosburg, a lakeside watersports centre surrounded by woodland.
Munich is the nearest international airport hub. From there, bus number 317 will take you close to the Aquapark.
There will also be a shuttle bus running from Moosburg to the festival for €3 per journey, to be paid on the bus in cash.
Minimum age of entry is 18.
Swimming in the lake is permitted until 8pm each evening.
The campsite is open from 12:00 on Thursday until 2pm on Sunday. The festival grounds open at 16:00 and will close at 23:00 on Thursday. On Friday and Saturday it will close at 03:00.
There will be free parking available near the festival and campsite.
