Kala, which began in 2018, has solidified itself as one of Albania’s, and perhaps Europe’s most exciting festivals. All things electronic, and a splash of funk, soul and global rhythms is the music policy for the week-long affair. However, Kala delves way beyond being solely a music festival, offering yoga, meditation, gong baths as well as organising excursions to explore the festivals beautiful surroundings.

2020 sees the introduction of ION, a brand new festival which will take festival-goers to new frontiers, unspoilt paradise and unique locations.
The four-day-long festival which will take place at the beginning of September is the brainchild of promotor giants, LWE and Junction 2. In the style of the latter, expect high-octane production and an inspired lineup of electronic music’s most exciting talent who amongst the unspoilt beauty of Dhërmi will command the revellers until sunrise.

Returning for its second edition is UNUM, (meaning “one” as a whole in Latin) is a Festival which embodies the idea of unity and positivity - two key aspects that are embodied within house and techno which serves as the festival’s main music policy.
The likes of tech-house kingpin Seth Troxler and minimal royalty, Sonja Moonear and Raresh will showcase their skills on the stunning shores of Shëngjin.

Serving as the label’s biggest event yet is Anjunadeep presents: Explorations, a five night retreat combining a diverse lineup of artists with a rejuvenating wellness programme.
Soundtracking the stunning backdrop of Dhërmi’s rich coastline will be the likes of Lane 8, Yotto, Moon Boots, Eli & Fur, 16BL and Fort Romeau who will showcase the label’s unique and deep sound. This enchanting style merged with beach massages, sunset yoga, and meditation classes are the recipe for an unforgettable experience.

Gjirokaster Folk Festival

Albanian folk singing is a central piece of the country's rich heritage, reflecting the cultural and political history of Albania’s people. With last year’s event attracting over 1000 artists, this year’s edition will also no doubt be inspiring and enlightening.
Taking place away from the coast in Gjirokaster, this festival caters for those who want to go off the beaten track.
