EXIT, the eclectic Serbian festival close to Novi Sad, has become one of Europe's most unique music festivals, thanks to its wild, unforgettable parties inside a stunning setting: a fortress overlooking the Danube.
This year Petrovaradin Fortress will be playing host to The Killers, Liam Gallagher, Hardwell, Jason Derulo and Paul Kalkbrenner, as well as many more artists from the worlds of rock, indie, pop, EDM, house and techno.
And aside from the music, festival-goers are also encouraged to explore Novi Sad: one of the European Capitals of Culture for 2021. Brimming with excellent museums, galleries, restaurants, cafes and bars, the city, famed for its mix of soviet architecture and heritage with a modernised Hungarian/Austrian look, is the perfect getaway for cultural and historical buffs.
What's more, 2017's festival will mark 50 years since the famous Summer of Love in 1967, when the revolutionary hippie movement began. Since then it has gone on to shape the world through fighting for peace, freedom of speech and human rights, as well as social, racial and gender equality.
EXIT will be at the forefront of celebrating this milestone, channeling the movement's philosophies into its festival, creating a welcome atmosphere characterised by a shared love of music and people.
And as we gear up for 2017's edition, we've put together a playlist of just some of the incredible artists appearing at this year's festival, kickstarting the two week countdown to EXIT Festival 2017.
