Following last week's news that Nile Rodgers & Chic, H.E.R., and Goo Goo Dolls had been added to the lineup for Rock In Rio 2019, the Brazilian festival have now added another huge name in Cardi B.
The breakthrough rap star had one of the best received albums of last year with her debut record Invasion of Privacy, and this summer sees her highly billed at festivals across the globe – from Primavera Sound and Parklife to Bonnaroo, Wireless, VestiVille and more.
Now she adds the legendary Rock In Rio to that list, taking to the stage the festival's opening day – 27 September – before previously announced headliner and fellow hip-hop star Drake. Brazilian dance music superstar ALOK has also been announced for the same day, while Ivete Sangalo will play on 29 September alongside Dave Matthews Band, Bon Jovi, and Goo Goo Dolls.
