Die Geschichte von Festicket
Alles begann im April 2011 als die langjährigen Freunde Zack, Jonathan und Jerome eine Reise zum weltbekannten Festival Coachella planten.
Sie stellten sich die wichtigsten Fragen: „Wollen wir campen oder in einem Hotel übernachten?“, „Ist dieses Hostel günstig gelegen? Und bietet es ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis?“, „Nehmen wir die VIP-Tickets oder Standard-Tickets?“ und „Sollten wir einen Transport vor Ort buchen?“. Der Planungs- und Buchungsprozess war mühsam, zeitintensiv und sehr teuer!
In dem Jahr klappte es mit Coachella nicht mehr. Stattdessen begannen sie ihre Mission: die Festival- und Live-Musik-Community durch eine zentrale Buchungsplattform zu vereinen und Informationen offener darzulegen, sodass Festivalbesucher besser Bescheid wissen und besser miteinander verbunden sind. Nach einigen Wochen Brainstorming (und zahlreichen Skype-Telefonaten) war Festicket geboren.

Announcing 26 New Companies Joining Future Fifty in 2017

Festicket ranks at no. 6 on The Sunday Times Tech Track 100, with 225% growth in sales
The difficulties of arranging accommodation and transfers for a trip they planned to the Coachella festival in California inspired friends Zach Sabban, 32, and Jonathan Younes, 32, to start this business in 2012.
They have since secured £7.5m from investors such as Lepe Partners to develop their online platform, which sells tickets and packages to more than 1,000 festivals worldwide. Festicket also reviews festivals and produces an online magazine to create a one-stop-shop for its 2.5m members.
The magazine has increased traffic to the site, helping to boost 2016 sales, which represent fees, to £16m. This year the London company opened offices in Germany and the Netherlands.
FESTICKET AND EVENTBRITE JOIN FORCES
Festicket, a UK-based seller of festival packages, has entered into an integration partnership with ticketing and event technology firm Eventbrite.
The collaboration provides Festicket with an expanded inventory of festivals globally. The firm currently partners with more than 1,000 festivals, connecting two and a half million registered members and three million monthly users across seven languages and 35 countries.

Festicket, the UK startup that offers a travel booking and discovery site for festival goers, has closed a $2.7 million Series A round. The new funding, which adds to a $680,000 seed round raised in March 2013, is being led by European VCs, Wellington Partners and PROfounders Capital. STA Travel has joined forces with music festival website Festicket to allow customers to travel to festivals around the world.
Festicket works with more than 200 music festivals globally, including Tomorrowland in Belgium, Ultra Europe in Croatia, and the Leeds and Reading festivals in the UK.
