Welcome to Transylvania......
Dava Festival is a funk and electronic music festival which takes place in the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, in Romania.
One of the most breathtaking and well preserved inhabited citadels in Europe, Sighisoara was once the home to Vlad Dracul (father of Vlad The Impaler, aka Dracula) and has maintained it's imposing resplendence since the 13th century.
Undoubtedly up there with the most unique locations for a music festival that you're likely to encounter, the inaugural edition looks to be as exceptional as its whereabouts, with Stefano Noferini, Monkey Safari, Sebastien Leger, and Simina Grigoriu already added to the bill.
With many more acts to be announced, Dava Festival merges the contemporary festival ideals within the traditional locale, breathing new life into the historic heartland of Transylvania.
The venue is a former glass factory that is now used for events.
