FIB: Festival Internacional de Benicassim 2015
A true great on the world festival stage
20 years on, and the European giant that is Benicàssim continues to blaze the trail of more-than-rock summer festivals way beyond its own Mediterranean corner of eastern Spain.
The huge, 120,000 square-metre site basks in glorious summer sunshine year after year, while Benicàssim’s diverse lineup showcases the best of indie, alternative, electro and straight-up rock. The focus tends to be on European music, though acts from further afield do show up from time to time.
Benicàssim is on the bucket list of just about every festival lover in the world – and it's not hard to see why. Here's to another 20 years of established stars, rising talent and spectacular staging.
In the heart of the Castellón region and flush with the mediterranean coast, Benicàssim (Benecasim is the Spanish spelling) is located north of Valencia and just over 250km south of Barcelona. The festival has been hosted here since 1995.
