Preguntas frecuentes

You must be 18 or over to attend the event and purchase alcohol or tobacco products. We highly recommend bringing your ID as well, as you will be checked on the door and in the venue grounds too.

Cape Town International Airport is the second largest airport in South Africa with multiple flights coming from various locations. From there many people choose to use the "MyCiti" airport bus to the city centre. One way will cost you R57 and they arrive and depart every 20 minutes.

For Johannesburg you will need O.R Tambo International Airport, the busiest in Africa and South Africa's largest. Licensed taxis are always out front with a yellow TAXI sign on the roof and are often the cheapest option to get from the airport. Do NOT go anywhere with anyone offering you a taxi while you are walking through the airport as they may be illicit cab drivers who often charge more.

Like many major cities Cape Town has had it's fair share of crime, however if you plan your trip well you should be fine. Many would recommend travelling in large groups, seeking out travel advice from a local township resident, avoding travelling alone or at night, and perhaps doing some research of the district you will be staying in before you go.

Johannesburg has high crime levels, however again if you keep your wits about you, you should be fine. Try to blend in and not look like a tourist displaying your valuables, and while the large prevalence of security and guards around might take some getting used to, them as well as local police or hotel staff, are always on hand to give advice on transport and locations.

In 2014, 15,000 attended the Cape Town event whereas 25,000 attended the Johannesburg date.
