7 Urban Acts You Have To See This Year

With Europe’s #1 hiphop event Fresh Island Festival celebrating another successful year, along with the recent launch of our Marsatac packages, Festicket thought we’d take some time out to recommend some unmissable rap, hip-hop, soul and urban influenced acts you need to experience this summer…

Debuting with a mid-tempo funk sound pleasantly arranged with soul influences and psychedelic touches, this London based collective are one of the hottest new acts on the urban scene.

Creating a sense of mystery around the faces behind the music, press photos are rare but their signature uplifting videos are plenty. Michael Quattlebaum Jr - mostly referred to by her feminine stage name of Mykki Blanco - is another game changer, forcing the status quo to expand their understanding of the possibilities of rap and hip-hop.
