A Summer's Tale is an eclectic music festival that whisks you away from urban life to the beautiful Luhmühlen, Germany. Art, theatre, workshops, crafts, readings and outdoor activities complement a star-studded lineup year after year.

Germany has no shortage of stunning landscapes, but A Summer's Tale brings its own corner of the countryside to life with a storybook atmosphere.

11 stages and activities offer something for all ages, from the youngest kids all the way to those with a few more stories to tell.

FAQs

A Summer's Tale actively encourages less impact on the environment so because of this, travelling by metronom train usage is included in the ticket, from Lüneburg Station there will be a free shuttle bus service. For international travellers, the nearest airport is Hamburg (HAM). From here it is possible to get a train to Ohlsdorf (3 minutes), then to Hamburg Hbf (16 minutes) before catching a connection to Lüneburg Station (28 minutes) where the festival shuttle awaits.

Yes! Children are very welcome at A Summer's Tale, and there will also be parts of the programme aimed specifically at a younger audience. Children aged 5 and under go free, and do not need to be registered. Children's tickets apply to those aged 6 to 14; children must be accompanied by their parents or guardians.
