Creative, diverse and totally unique
Bestival is one of the UK's most creative and diverse music festivals, showcasing a huge lineup of music, comedy, theatre, circus and art at its home at Dorset's Lulworth Castle.
Each year's festival centres around a theme – the last edition's theme was the sea – meaning festival-goers are encouraged to get creative and don their best fancy dress, while the festival's site gets kitted out with all kinds of wonder, such as quirky stage designs, cool bars and secret areas.
And over on its music stages, expect to hear everything from rock and indie to house, drum and bass, hip-hop and garage. It might be such a cliché, but Bestival's lineup quite literally has something for everyone.
The lineup for 2019 will be announced closer to the festival. The last edition featured sets from London Grammar, Silk City, M.I.A., Grace Jones, Plan B, Mura Masa, Chaka Khan and First Aid Kit.
Since its move from the Isle of Wight in 2017, Bestival now takes place in the grounds of Lulworth Castle, home to its younger sibling Camp Bestival. The expanse of green space and rolling hills make the site perfect for all manner of quirky activities.

Bournemouth Airport is the closest airport to the festival site.
The Yellow Buses line A1 runs every 30 minutes from the airport to Bournemouth Station. From there, it is a 30 minute train to Wool, from where a local taxi is the best option for the short ride to Lulworth Castle.
