Rock and Pop tunes in the mountains...
Described as "a musical monastery atop a lush mountain", thousands of European music fans make the annual pilgrimage to Bilbao BBK Live, where rock and electronic acts from the adored mainstream to the alternative scene are celebrated.
Taking place on a specially built complex on the slopes of the Arriáiz mountains, this three day festival is in the perfect location. When you're not enjoying live music amongst the fresh acoustics and backdrops of the mountains, the local city and beaches is also there for the taking.
Cool both in lineup selection and relaxed atmosphere, bands start much later in the day allowing you the chance to venture into Bilbao and experience the vibrant Spanish culture thanks to the free shuttle buses.
Complemented for a simple layout and a programme that goes out of it's way to avoid clashes, it's time to finally enjoy a "fuss-free" festival...

The area is thankfully flat ground surrounded by 7,000+ trees making the area feel unusually intimate and cut off from the city below it.

The nearest airport is Bilbao, from there you can catch one of the regular buses to central Bilbao.
Once in the town the festival does provide shuttle buses to the site, but you can also walk to the site in just over 15 minutes. Make sure you are wearing comfertable shoes though, it's quite a hilly and tiring walk!
No, so remember once you have entered the site be sure you want to leave when you do, as only three day wristband holders are allowed readmission.
