Bluedot is an award-winning music, arts and science festival at the Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre near Macclesfield. 

Set against the backdrop of the iconic Lovell Telescope, Bluedot combines an indie and alternative music lineup with an innovative programme of live science experiments, expert talks and immersive artworks.

The last edition's lineup included music from alt-J, Orbital and the Pixies, alongside an incredible array of talent from across the scientific, literary and arts communities. 

Five distinct arenas showcased talks, film screenings, lectures, comedy, debates and a wide variety of interactive and immersive activities such as art installations, robot workshops, a planetarium, the Galaxy Garden, pulsar hunting, graphene making classes and much, much more.

The Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre is an educational observatory museum with science exhibits and the Lovell Radio Telescope. The centre is part of the University of Manchester.
