Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival is one of the US's biggest music festivals, sweeping across rock, pop, indie, urban and electronic music, while also laying on a packed-out arts programme.
Such is Bonnaroo's reputation, Rolling Stone has even dubbed it one of the Fifty Moments that Changed Rock and Roll thanks to its diverse and superstar lineups. 2016's edition featured Pearl Jam, the return of LCD Soundsystem and urban legend J. Cole.
Beyond the music, the site is also dotted with a variety of artistic activities, such as graffiti master-classes, silent discos and comedy sessions, making it a weekend of inclusivity and creative expression.
Sitting halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga is Manchester, Tennessee, home to Great Stage Park, where Bonnaroo has been since its first edition back in 2002.
Most people who fly use the Nashville International Airport, which is 60 miles away from Manchester by car. The festival provides a shuttle bus to and from the airport. For more information, please check the official Bonnaroo website.
