Glastonbury Festival is one of the world's most famous music and performing arts festivals. Embracing each and every genre across the spectrum, from rock and pop, to minimal house, techno and full-throttle drum 'n' bass, music-lovers flock to its spiritual fields down in Somerset each June.

Famed for its huge headline sets on its hallowed Pyramid Stage, which has recently played host to the Arctic Monkeys, Rolling Stones, Kanye West and Adele, it's the other side of the festival that really sets the heart racing. Take a stroll through Shangri-La – the festival's night time district – and you'll be thrown into a themed world full of immersive theatre and shenanigans, soundtracked by electronic music's finest and underground names.

Or just up the path there's Arcadia, the sprawling spider-like, flame-throwing structure, open to only the most hardcore ravers, or the more cosier circus and cabaret field, where some of the country's best comedians come together with drag queens and trapeze magicians.

A site with a rich spiritual history, Worthy Farm has been the festival's home since its start, but as it has grown in size, it now spreads itself across a few neighbouring farms too.

FAQs

Tickets for Glastonbury Festival 2017 are now officially sold out. If you didn't manage to buy a ticket, you can try again in their re-sale, which usually happens around May.

Parking is available on site, however, this will require a fee.

Alternatively, National Express run coaches to and from the festival site from cities across the UK, while the festival will also be laying on a shuttler service to and from Castle Cary station, which has direct trains into London.

All ages are welcome at Glastonbury, with those under 12 being permitted for free with a ticket-holding adult.

The festival advises that you update your registration details with a recent photo and any information changes.

It is recommended that this is done by Friday 30th September to allow time to re-submit your registration if needed. The registration closes on Monday 3rd October and will not open until after both ticket sales.

If you are happy that your photo is still a good likeness of you and your details are up to date, then your current registration is still valid and you do not need to take any action.
