Creativity shines down on the lower Rhine
Haldern Pop Festival is a multi-genre music festival in Rees, Germany.
Over the course of 35 years, it has steadily become one of Europe's most established and diverse festivals, offering a lineup with whom creativity and genre know no bounds.
Taking place in Rees, located in the lower Rhine, Haldern Pop Festival is a consummate open-air summer festival set in a beautifully lush, intimate former horse range. Aside from the main arena, there are performances taking place across a multitude of stages; the nearby Haldern church for instance.
Indicative of the roster's diversity, the year's leading artists include Father John Misty, Sophie Hunger, IDLES, Michael Kiwanuka, and Loyle Carner with plenty more variety to be rolled out.

This is a classic outdoor festival, taking place in a converted horse racing area. Lush grass and woods surround the stages and a large campground is nearby.

The nearest airport is Weeze Airport (NRN). Upon arrival take the airport shuttle to Rees Busbahnhof (40 minutes). Here transfer to the 95 or RFB 95 bus and get off at Haldern Bahnhof, Rees (8 minutes). The venue is a 25 minute walk east from here, so you might want to consider taking a taxi (3 minutes).

This is an all ages festival, however it is recommended that those under 18 be accompanied by an adult. Children under 10 can enter the festival for free when accompanied by an adult and those 10-13 can get a special child's ticket for half price.
As well, if you plan on purchasing alcohol or tobacco ensure you bring your ID.
Yes, there is a large campground with showers and toilets close to the festival site. Camping and parking are included in the festival ticket.
