A Canadian metal giant
Heavy Montréal is Canada’s premier metal and hard rock festival. Held outdoors at Parc Jean-Drapeau in the heart of downtown Montreal, the festival plays host to a lineup of the scene's biggest names, from veterans to modern megastars.
As one of the biggest of its kind in the world, the festival regularly welcomes fans in the tens of thousands for a riotous affair.
And for those fans who like both metal and punk rock, Heavy Montreal have teamed up with punk festival '77 Montreal this year to offer fans the chance to enjoy both festivals and mosh all weekend long.
The Parc Jean Drapeau in the centre of Montreal comprises two islands, one of which was artificially constructed for the 1967 International and Universal Exposition.
