The most imaginative and vibrant celebration across the globe

Holi Festival of Colours Heidelberg is a celebration of colour and the cycle of new life, touring through Germany with Heidelberg one of the stops. 

The unique spiritual and communal festival will see you splashed in multi-coloured powder from head-to-toe, whilst you dance the day away to a soundtrack from acclaimed DJ's. Just remember to dress in white.

FAQs

If you're flying into Flughafen Hamburg (Hamburg Airport), you can reach the city centre in just 15 minutes via the U-bahn line 1. Alternatively, an S-bahn will take almost 30 minutes, and a taxi will again take 15.

The city is also well connected by rail with the rest of Germany and neighbouring Europe. 

Once in the city, lines U2 or U4 will take you out to Horner Rennbahn, which is just as short walk from Galopprennbahn Hamburg-Horn.

The festival is 16+ and ID may be required at the entrance. 

No, unfortunately not. For both environmental and health reasons, only the certified festival powder is allowed on the premises.

Doors open at 12pm. Starting from 3pm, colours will be thrown every hour (there will be a countdown). The last colour union takes place at 9:50 and at 10pm, when the festival finishes.

There is no dress code, however, most festival-goers come dressed in white because it works best with the coloured powder.

 

Yes, the colours can be washed out easily, however, bright fabrics are more sensitive.

 

Yes, the colours can be removed from the skin and hair easily.

 

On site there will be a sale of paint powder at a cost of 2 euros per pack.
