Liverpool's premier rock and indie music festival
Liverpool Sound City is Liverpool's premier rock and indie music festival, held each May down at the city's Baltic Triangle – a creative hub of warehouses and quirky venues – which is the perfect backdrop to the festival's raw lineup.
As every music fan will know, Liverpool has a rich musical history having produced a host of famous rock bands, such as The La's, Cast, The Zutons, and of course, The Beatles.
Liverpool Sound City carries on the tradition, showcasing a lineup of smaller artists, as well as unsigned talent. The festival has a proud record of putting on alt-J, Florence and the Machine and The xx before anyone else.
And beyond the main event, Sound City also runs a program of conferences with leading industry figures, including labels, promoters, artists, managers and more, who join festival-goers for a series of panels, debates and workshops.
The 2019 lineup will be announced closer to the festival. The last edition included sets from Peace, DMA's, Idles, Black Honey, Baxter Dury and Jaws.
Sound City will take place across a series of intimate venues in Liverpool's Baltic Triangle.
