Lollapalooza Berlin is the first European outpost of one of the USA's biggest music festivals. The rock, pop, indie and electronic carnival arrived in Germany in September 2015 with a massive reputation and an incredible history.

The Lollapalooza of Chicago has become legendary for combining a wide palette of world-class music with an eco-friendly, community-building atmosphere that emphasises inclusivity and creative freedom.

Berlin's first edition was absolutely no different, with huge performances by the likes of Sam Smith, Muse, Martin Garrix and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis backdropped by a dedicated kids' zone, a garden and art exhibition space, and a whole lot more.

FAQs

Berlin Tegel Airport is the city's closest international airport. From here, the city centre is just 20 minutes away by bus. If you are flying into Berlin Schönefeld Airport, then the journey will take around 23 minutes by train.

The city also has good rail links with the rest of Germany and neighbouring Europe.

Once in the city, bus numbers 165 and 265 will take you to outside Treptower Park. It is also possible to get the S-Bahn to Treptower Park.

Yes, absolutely! As long as those under 16 are accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times, there is even a whole Kidzpalooza section dedicated to young festivals fans aged 0 to 14.

The festival grounds will be open from 10am until midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

Lollapalooza Berlin will be cash only this year. There will be ATMs on site, however, queues for these are likely and it is therefore advised that you bring enough cash with you.

You are now allowed to take your own food into the festival grounds, however, you will be allowed to take non-alcoholic drinks of up to 1.5 litres per person into the grounds.
