Steins of beer, and plenty of cheer
Oktoberfest 2020, held in the Bavarian heartland of Munich, Germany, is undoubtedly the world's most famous and traditional beer festival.
Attracting thousands of beer-swilling, lederhosen and dirndl-clad party-goers from across the continent, Oktoberfest is one of the world's largest beer-centred congregations, with the primary intention of celebrating Bavaria's traditional culture and historic adoration for steins of the finest beers.
Aside from consumption of deliciously brewed beverages, the event also has live music, funfair, parades, and traditional German cuisines, making the entire city of Munich the world's biggest party for a few weeks between September and October each year.
The 2020 lineup will be announced closer to the festival.
Munich hosts beer tents, fairs and markets galore, as Oktoberfest sprawls across the city centre and transforms it into an urban festival like no other.
