The Basics

8-12 August 2017
Oslo, Norway

Øyafestivalen is a multi-genre music festival in Oslo. One of the biggest festivals in Norway, Øyafestivalen showcases national and international outside the mainstream.

This year the festival has grown from 4 to 5 days, adding a club night spread throughout the city the day before the main festival begins.

Attracting roughly 80,000 people a year to the Tøyenparken, organisers are adamant about keeping the carbon footprint down. To do so they've introduced a number of green measures such as hiring waste sorters, using sustainably sourced electricity, serving organic food and more.
