An alternative music gem
Pitchfork Music Festival Paris is the European edition of Chicago's alternative music festival, organised by the famous music publication.
Suitably eclectic and forward-thinking, the festival's lineup showcases exciting acts from the worlds of indie, rock, hip-hop, electronica, alternative RnB, jazz, soul and more in the French capital.
From the Avant-Garde program held across a number of the city's music venues, to the main shows in the Grande Halle de La Villette, the festival is a feast of exciting and alternative music.
The Grande Halle De La Villette is an exhibition and events venue in the north-east of Paris.

Charles de Gaulle Airport is very near to the centre of Paris, and is the closest International airport.
From there, it makes sense to buy a Paris Metro Pass for Zones 1-5, which will cost about €35 for a 1 day pass. RER B Trains run depart regularly from Terminals 1 and 2 at Charles de Gaulle, taking 25-30 minutes to reach Gare du Nord.
From Gare du Nord, a Metro M5 line takes 14 minutes to the Porte de Pantin station. The Parc de la Villette is on the north side of the main road, best reached by the Avenue Jean Jaurès exit from the station.
