Paul Kalkbrenner debuts his highly anticipated Back to the Future concept on Saturday 29 April. While working on his new album, the German born producer decided to rediscover the music of his youth; his trip down memory lane formed the basis of the popular mixtape series of the same name.
But this isn't just a nostalgic set. Kalkbrenner has reimagined each track, executing a sound that is both new and fresh, making his interpretation as exciting and relevant as ever.
Joining Kalkbrenner will be Derrick May, DJ Pierre and KDA, as well as live sets from Extrawelt and Session Victim.
Printworks is a former printing press that once churned out the Metro and Evening Standard newspapers.
Now a fully soundproofed space designed to contain the clatter of what was once Western Europe’s largest print facility, this is a chance to party in a uniquely historical and industrial setting.
The nearest stations to Printworks are Canada Water (Jubilee Line and Overground) and Surrey Quays (Overground). Both stations are within a ten minute walk from the venue.
Minimum age of entry is 18.
The event will run from midday until 22:00. Last entry is 18:00.
