A rock n roll rite of passage
There are no longer tickets available here.
As one of the UK’s longest-standing music events, Reading Festival has a pedigree that allows it to book un-bookable bands, secure headliners on exclusives and have an exhaustive thirst for the Next Big Thing.
Little John’s Farm was once the hallowed ground of the guitar-slinging god, but it now stands proud as a purveyor of everything alternative: rock, metal, dance and hip hop, as well as comedy and cinema.
Guys and gals in skinny jeans still reign supreme though, and it’s still the one gig emerging artists want to cut their teeth at, but it’s also where reunions become reality and reputations are affirmed.
As the dust settles after three-days of August Bank Holiday mayhem, music-lovers are stamped eternally as life-long Reading Festival fans, and with eight stages of musical muscle to keep them returning summer after summer, who can blame them?
