For the first time in 2015, the Czech favourite Rock For People will be presenting its little sister, who will take over the city of Pilsen to celebrate it being this year's European Capital of Culture.

Pilsen's edition will delve into the depths of contemporary music, showcasing a range of both established names and more underground artists, compiling a lineup that spans the wealth of the continent.

Combining a diverse and eclectic musical lineup with a city steeped in cultural history and a certain Czech beer, Rock For People's Europe edition is the perfect trip to both discover new music and a beautiful little gem of a city.

Pilsen may currently be on your radar as the home to Pilsner lager, however the city is a cultural hotpot, brimming with a lively arts scene, beautiful architecture, and of course many popular pubs and breweries.

The festival will take place predominately in a creative district made up of former depots and mills, but will also span to the cultural centre Papírna and the banks of the Radbuza river itself, encouraging festival-goers to explore the city during their stay.

FAQs

BY PLANE: The most convenient airport to fly to is Prague's Václav Havel Airport, even though this is still a two hour journey away. From the airport, firstly take an airport bus to Zličín, before taking a ČD line either U or B onto Praha Smichovske nadrazi, and lastly another ČD train to Plzen hl.n. This journey should cost no more than €7 in total. The main hub of the festival is then just a few minutes walk away.

BY TRAIN: Pilsen's main station is accessible from all over the country, however many journeys may require going via Prague and changing, especially those travelling by train from outside the country.
