Rock im Park is a rock music festival in Nuremberg, Germany. With twin festival Rock am Ring, their combined popularity and legacies are only matched in Europe by Reading and Leeds Festival.
Taking place at Zeppelinfeld (which seemingly influenced the festival's appropriate Led Zeppelin-inspired branding), the historic complex is now home to some of world's most prestigious rock and metal bands that pass through Germany throughout the summer.
The two festival's combined attendance sees over 150,000 congregate over the course of the three-day excursion, and with memorable performances from illustrious headliners Metallica, Rage Against The Machine, Black Sabbath, Rammstein, and Red Hot Chili Peppers in the past, it's easy to see why.
With a typically imperious lineup, 2020's edition sees nu-metal titans System Of A Down, punk-rock icons Green Day, and Danish rockers Volbeat occupy the headline slots.
The large, modernised complex at Zeppelinfeld includes an indoor arena, motor-sport circuit and a football stadium which was used in the 2006 World Cup. Rock im Park has called it home since 2007.
