Rock Werchter is a multi-genre music festival in Belgium. Begun in 1974 as a one day musical celebration, the festival has steadily grown over the years and now covers four days.
Welcoming upwards of 150,000 fans each year, Rock Werchter is one of the biggest festivals not only in its home country, but in Europe as well.
With a "for the people" attitude, an open atmosphere and an annual lineup of some of the biggest names in music, the festival has undoubtedly reached bucket list status.

Rock Werchter is a classic outdoor festival, taking place in an expansive field in the middle of Belgium.

The nearest airport is Brussels Airport (BRU). Upon arrival take the train to Leuven (13 minutes). From here take the 333, 433, or 513 bus to Werchter De Brug (20 minutes). Signs to the festival entrance will be posted at this stop.
Alternatively, there is also a De Lijn special shuttle bus service which goes from the Leuven train station directly to the festival.
Leuven train station is accessible from most European cities but may require a transfer. A festival ticket entitles you to 1 free and personal e-train ticket for a return journey in 2nd class to Rock Werchter. Transfers with extra buses of De Lijn are included.
No, this is an all ages festival. However all festival-goers must have a valid ticket, including children.
