    Belgium's canal-side gem

Ronquières Festival is an eclectic two-day pop festival held each summer in the Belgian village of Ronquières.

Set under its distinctive control tower in the so-called sloping lock, the festival provides an impressive, peaceful and refreshing setting in the height of the Belgian summer, welcoming a wide range of Belgian, Francophone and international talent. Last year's edition included the likes of Lilly Allen, Etienne Daho, MC Solaar and Django Django.

The festival takes place just outside the Belgian village of Ronquières, at the site of the famous 'sloping lock' on the Brussels-Charleroi canal.

Nearby Braine-le-Comte is connected by rail to Brussels (and its airport), La Louviere, Mons and a number of other locations. From here you can reach Ronquières by bus.
