The midnight sun music festival
Making its debut in 2014, Secret Solstice is Iceland's hottest new festival. Taking place over three days in the 24 hour midnight sun during Iceland's summer solstice, if you've ever dreamed about partying at a festival where the sun doesn't set for an entire weekend then this could be your one opportunity.
Expect everything between heavy house, techno, deep bass and trip hop, as dozens of artists and revellers from around the world join in a modern interpretation of this country's proud Norse traditions and historic mythology, creating a unique party atmosphere.

The festival is set in Iceland's capital city, Reykjavík, in the Laugardalur recreational area, just east of the city centre. Laugardalur translates as Hot Spring Valley and in the past the citizens of Reykjavík used to bathe and do their laundry in this geo-thermal hot spot.
Besides the musical and sporting venues inside Laugardalur, there is also a huge geothermal pool, camping ground, a botanical garden and a theme park with a petting zoo.

Icelandic weather can be very temperamental, the country has a humid subarctic continental climate with cool summers and no dry season. Temperatures in June vary from 40°F to 60°F so you should bring clothes for most situations.
Yes, the festival is strictly 18+.
The currency in Iceland is the Icelandic króna.
Keflavík International Airport is Iceland's main international airport, and is located 50 km southwest of Reykjavík, in the town of Keflavík.
Between the airport and the city of Reykjavík there are two main transport options: bus or taxi.
Flybus offers regular service to either the BSI bus terminal, just south of the city center (45 minutes, 1,950 ISK one-way or 3,500 ISK round trip) or directly to Reykjavik hotels with advance notice to the driver (2,500 ISK one-way or 4,500 ISK round-trip).
Nationals of EEA (European Economic Area) countries need not apply for a visa; however they will need to bring a passport valid for at least three months from the return date or valid identity card.
Visitors from non-Schengen countries who do not hold a valid Schengen visa in their travel document need a visa to visit Iceland and must therefore apply for a visa before travelling.
Running times have not yet been released but you can contact the festival with further questions via email@example.com
