A week-long feast of electronic music, snow sports and events
With the sweet spot of Snowboxx’s electronic soundtrack ringing through the valleys around Alpe d’Huez, the fresh fall on the mountain slopes is just waiting for some joyful snowsports chaos.
The full-speed collision of electronic music festival with world-summit snow sports holiday sets Snowboxx apart from every other festival experience out there. And as if that weren’t already a lethal enough combo, team Snowboxx have crammed their new home in the Alps with more features and events than it has ever seen before.
Night displays by ski and snowboard professionals, all-day pool parties and secret ice caves are the tip of the entertainment iceberg that Snowboxx has in store this year. There will be something going on at every second of the day, and mustering the energy to take it all in could be a hell of a challenge when the slopes have been churning all day. Good luck dragging yourself away at the end of it all!

Nestled in the Central French Alps, the commune Huez mixes world-class slopes with great club venues and bars, and is also very easily accessible from either Grenoble or Geneva airports. Snowboxx look to have found themselves an ideal new location.
Alpe d'Huez, Alpe d'Huez, Huez, France
The closest airport to the festival site is Grenoble-Isère. Transfer from there to Alpe d’Huez will take 1 hour 30 mins, with several operators serving the route. Typically, these companies will charge around €30 one way or €50 return for an adult. Be aware that flights only arrive into Grenoble at the weekends and from a relatively small number of departure points, so demand for seats can be very high.
Alternatively, Geneva International Airport is a little further away, about 3 hours’ journey time. However, there are many more flights into Geneva, and throughout the week; plus, transfer to Alpe d’Huez will cost roughly the same as from Grenoble (about €30 single or €50 return).
