Sónar Reykjavík is a combination music festival and conference in Reykjavík. It is the Icelandic outpost of the world wide Sónar series.

Starting with its festival in Barcelona, Sónar has built a reputation for presenting cutting edge electronic music shows and congresses on the ever evolving relationship between technology and creativity.

Even though the festival has put on more than 50 events world wide since 2002, organisers only choose locations with unique environments and venues.

Reykjavík in February offers some of the best opportunities to see the Northern Lights in the world. The venue features renowned architecture, particularly its distinctive coloured glass facade, and is ideal for a Sónar festival.
