A Caribbean island getaway with a twist

SXM is an electronic music festival in the Caribbean island of Saint-Martin.

The island's white beaches and fusion of French and Dutch culture makes this one of the world's most attractive festival locations, and despite being only a few years old is quickly earning a reputation as a must-visit for electronic music fans.

If almost 24 hours of non-stop underground house and techno and a week-long beach retreat are your thing, this one's for you. Careful consideration is put into the festival's visual aesthetic too, with over 50 artists and designers brought in to create a powerful immersive experience across seven stages that reflect the paradisal atmosphere of the island.

The festival halted it's 2018 proceedings to help focus on the Two Bunch Palms Foundation, which sought to help those affected by Hurricane Irma in 2017 in the rebuilding and revival of the island. 2019 looks to be a special celebration, then, as the party returns to this magical island. Keep an eye out for the secret beach, boat and villa afterparties too.
