The Peacock Society is a Parisian summer techno festival held in the city's beautifully landscaped Parc Floral de Paris each year.
Split between an urban warehouse and green space, the festival's gritty techno lineup (past names include Sven Väth, Tale of Us and Len Faki) strikingly contrasts with a park used to hosting flower shows.
With underground names mixing with those at the top of the game, The Peacock Society has become a haven for Parisian techno fans and Europeans alike, attracted by the chance to check out the genre's hottest DJs amongst vibrant bars, hip food trucks and arty twists in one of Europe's coolest cities.
The Parc Floral De Paris is a botanical garden in Paris. Used to hosting flower shows, the razor-edged techno event contrasts sharply, yet beautifully, with the park's landscaped gardens.
Charles de Gaulle is the city's major airport and is around a half hour RER train journey from the city centre.
Trains also run into Paris from across Europe, with the Eurostar connecting the city with London, Brussels and Bruges. And due to the EU's Schengen agreement, EU residents can travel freely throughout the Union.
Once in the city, you can get RER Line Rer A or the Line 1 Metro to Château de Vincennnes, from there the park is at the bottom of Cours des Maréchaux on the left.
