Techno's crowning jewel turns 25
Time Warp DE is perhaps the world's definitive techno music festival, taking Mannheim by storm for one day at the beginning of April every year.
Heading into its 25th edition this year, Time Warp is celebrating its silver anniversary the only way it knows how: with booming beats from the biggest names in the genre.
Ravers from around the globe flock to the festival's massive indoor hangar home to immerse themselves in 19 straight hours of cutting edge electronic sounds spread across six stages.
This year's lineup hasn't been announced yet, but the 2018 edition featured Nina Kraviz, Adam Beyer, Dixon, Chris Liebing, Sven Väth and many more.
Mannheim's Maimarkthalle is a huge indoor hangar that hosted its first Time Warp way back in 1995.
Maimarkthalle, Xaver-Fuhr-Strasse, Mannheim, Germany
The closest airport is Frankfurt. From there, trains to Mannheim depart every 20 minutes and take half an hour. The journey will cost €55. A cheaper but longer option would be the Flixbus, which departs form the airport every 2 hours and take 55 minutes, but costs just €20.
From the Mannheim Hauptbanhof, trams to the Maimarkt Gelände leave every 30 minutes. Alternatively, an S-Bahn service to the Mannheim Rangierbanhof/SAP arena leaves you with a ten minute walk to the venue.
You must be 18 to attend. ID is required.
The festival runs from 19:00 until 14:00 the next day.
