France's premier new music showcase

France’s premier seen-them-here-first festival, Trans Musicales sweeps through the genre spectrum from rock, pop and folk to RnB, hip-hop and electronic music, picking up cartloads of gems year after year.

For artists as much as it is for its visitors, “Les Trans” is a place that connects the best up-and-coming acts from France and beyond on the cusp of going big with labels, agents, editors and other professionals to create a thriving environment of collaboration and to promote fresh talent.

That artists such as Daft Punk, Cyprus Hill, Björk, M.I.A., Janelle Monáe, Portishead and Nirvana are amongst the names from Trans Musicales' shining list of previous lineups goes to show the importance this festival holds as a platform for future generations of artists.

Held in the French city of Rennes, the festival will take place across four concert halls and the public hall, with the main stage at Parc Expo.

Rennes, France

Rennes-Saint-Jacques Airport is just to the south of the city, but is a small-ish airport with connections mostly from within France. From the airport, the C6 bus service runs regularly into the city centre.

You can also reach Rennes by train, with direct services from a number of major cities across France – including Paris, Nantes, Lyon and Marseille – as well as many smaller locations (Brest, Lannion, Quimper, Saint-Malo).

Each individual show will have different timings, depending on venue and day. See each billing for specific details.
