Over 20 years of distortion
Tuska Open Air is a hard rock and heavy metal festival in Helsinki. Celebrating it's 20th anniversary in 2017, the festival is one of the most established in the scene.
With an undeniably rich history of metal bands, Scandinavia has become the unofficial home of the genre, with Tuska acting as it's Mecca.
Spread across three stages over three days, the festival curates a lineup that balances established stars with young up-and-comers.
- Dimmu Borgir
- The Hellacopters
- Cult of Luna
- Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes
- Sick of It All
- Battle Beast
- Anneke van Giersbergen Vuur
- Lost Society
- Power Trip
- Maj Karma
- Visions of Atlantis
- Alien Weaponry
+ more artists to be announced
Suvilahti is a disused power plant to the north-east of Helsinki city centre. Its industrial backdrop perfectly complements the hard edge of Tuska.
Suvilahti, Parrukatu 2-4, Helsinki, 00540, Finland
BY PLANE: If you're flying into Helsinki International Airport, you can take either a Matkahoulto bus or a Helsinki Airport Shuttle into the city centre.
Once in Helsinki, the easiest way to reach the venue is by Metro, with the closest stop being Sörnäinen, a several hundred meters from the site. You can also get a tram (6, 7A/7B, 8) to Kurvi / Vilhovuori, or bus 68 from the central railway station.
For the first time this year Tuska is an 18+ festival. Bring ID to ensure entry.
