Heavy metal at its most hedonistic

Metal Frenzy Open Air is a heavy metal festival, held in the small town of Gardelegen, Germany each June.

This feverishly followed festival celebrated its 5th birthday last year and continues to amp up the heavy metal hedonism for a sixth consecutive occasion.

An international lineup descends on to Gardelegen, with 2018's anniversary edition including sets from the ever-theatric Lordi, Obscurity, Warpath, and Paragon who topped a bill supported by the cream of the local talent. Festival-goers can both enjoy the unique location in Gardelegen's water park, whilst headbang till their heart's content to the riff-laden lineup.

+ many more artists to be announced.

Gardelegen is a small town in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The town sits on the main railway line from Berlin to Hannover.

Magdeburger Landstraße 20, Gardelegen, 39638, Allemagne

If you are flying to Metal Frenzy Open Air, Hannover is the closest international airport. From here, firstly take a train into Hannover Hbf before another onto Wolfsburg Hbf. You can then get a train onto Gardelegen Bahnhof.

Alternatively, Gardelegen Bahnhof is well connected to the rest of Germany via rail, however, many routes will require a change at either Wolfsburg or Stendal.

The train station is a 20 minute walk from the festival site.

Those under 9 years of age are not permitted to attend Metal Frenzy Open Air.

Those aged 9 to 15 go free, however, they must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

Those aged 16 or 17 are allowed to go unattended, but must carry written consent with them at all times.
