Taubertal Festival is a rock and pop festival in Bavaria, Germany. Taking place for over 20 years, the festivals is firmly established as one of the more unique rock fests in Europe.
Beyond its incredible setting, Taubertal stands out from the crowd by pairing an intimate size with the kind of star-filled lineups you'd normally find at only the biggest festivals.
Just under 20,000 fans head to the banks of the river Tauber each August, and are joined by the likes of Biffy Clyro, Billy Talent, Limp Bizkit, Die Fantastischen Vier and loads more.

The luscious Tauber Valley is home to the historic town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, only ten minutes walk away from the festival site. The town is known for its medieval architecture and museums to match.
BY PLANE: The nearest airport is Nuremberg, which is around two and a half hours away from the festival. If you're flying into Nuremberg, firstly take Line U2 into Nürnberg Hbf before boarding an S4 to Ansbach. Once there, take a DB train onto Steinach(b Rothenburg ob der Tauber) before another into the town. Once in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, you can use the festival's free shuttle service to reach the festival site. BY TRAIN: Rothenburg ob der Tauber is accessible via train, however due to its size it is likely you will have to change at least once. Once in the town, you can take the free shuttle buses to and from Taubertal Valley.
If you are driving, it is recommended you park in Rothenburg ob der Tauber and take the shuttle bus to the festival site. Some parking spaces may require a fee.
The festival opens on the 10th August, but only to 3 day ticket holders. This is not a full festival day, however, there will be a small selection of live music and entertainment.
