Year after year, weekend tickets sell out in super quick time. California's Coachella Valley isn't the most convenient location for most music lovers around the world, and the trip there and back can rack up a pretty significant bill. But the biggest problem for anyone dreaming of Coachella 2015? It took place a month ago.
So instead of wallowing in despair at having missed it/at the fact that it's all over till next April (delete as appropriate), we think it's time to look forward to the rest of the summer festival season. Some very smart people (no, definitely not me) have taken Festicket's 200+ partner festivals, fed thousands of artists through a great big Comparison Machine and come up with a cutting edge shortlist of, well, festivals with the most similar lineups to Coachella 2015.
The Governors Ball Music Festival
Top of the pile, it's NYC's multi-genre resident of Randall's Island Park. The Governors Ball celebrates its fifth birthday in 2015 with Drake, Florence and the Machine, SBTRKT, Ryan Adams and St. Vincent (to name just a few) giving it a strong Coachella flavour.
When & where: 5 - 7 June 2015, New York, USA

Way Out West
Not one we would have instinctively thought of, but it's no trick of the light: Florence and the Machine, The War On Drugs, alt-J, Father John Misty and Kygo are all among the Coachella cohort pitching up in Gothenburg this summer. If you fancy a Scandinavian adventure, looks like south-west Sweden's the place to be.
When & where: 13 - 15 August 2015, Gothenburg, Sweden

Sziget
Sziget barely needs any introduction: it's huge, it's in Budapest, and it's one of the most diverse music festivals you'll ever come across. A long list including alt-J, Florence and the Machine (again), Marina & The Diamonds and Nero puts it in third place here, but a headline performance from Robbie Williams is the icing on the cake, right?
When & where: 10 - 17 August 2015, Budapest, Hungary

Flow Festival
Tyler, The Creator's low-slung rap, alt-J's stilted pop and Flying Lotus' avant-garde urban jazz are just three good reasons to head to Helsinki this August. The sheer spectacle of Flow Festival's re-invented power station setting gives the whole thing a brilliantly post-industrial atmosphere.
When & where: 14 - 16 August 2015, Helsinki, Finland

Rock Werchter
One of only a few festivals outside North America to boast a set from Hozier this summer, Rock Werchter is among the biggest pop and rock weekends in Europe – despite remaining relatively unknown in world terms. alt-J, Florence and the Machine and The War On Drugs will also play for the best part of 150,000 people this June.
When & where: 25 - 28 June 2015, Werchter, Belgium

Northside
Six years in and Northside is really starting to pull in some impressive names, with FKA Twigs and Interpol leading the line in Aarhus this year. It's also yet another stop on alt-J's Let's Conquer The World One Festival At A Time tour.
When & where: 12 - 14 June 2015, Aarhus, Denmark

Roskilde
Famous for its iconic Orange Stage, the yearly naked run and campsite parties to end all campsite parties, Roskilde has been pretty much the entirety of Denmark's festival scene for the last 40 years. Coachella hunters can catch Florence and the Machine (yes, they really are working hard this summer), Kygo, St. Vincent, Father John Misty and more at this year's edition.
When & where: 27 June - 4 July 2015, Roskilde, Denmark

Primavera Sound
Aided by one of the largest lineups in world festivals, Primavera Sound makes it into our ten by virtue of having Ride, Interpol, Ratatat, Brand New and Tyler, The Creator at its 15th anniversary edition. Look out for headliners The Black Keys, too – you won't find them at too many these days.
When & where: 28 - 30 May 2015, Barcelona, Spain

Wireless Festival London
French new-beat popstar Stromae is picking his dates very carefully this year. London's Wireless Festival is a prime chance to behold his famous on-stage antics, while its urban/dance lineup also makes room for Drake, Nero, and David Guetta.
When & where: 3 - 5 July 2015, London, UK

Ultra Europe
It may seem a little left-field, but Ultra Europe sneaks in by having EDM megastars David Guetta, Axwell ^ Ingrosso and Alesso in its ranks. They all played high up the bill at Coachella 2015, while Oliver Heldens also turned up the Friday nights. Plus, with the lineup still only half announced, there's a decent chance that one or more of R3hab, Seth Troxler or Eats Everything will end up being a match too.
When & where: 10 - 12 July 2015, Split, Croatia
