EXIT, the eclectic Serbian festival close to Novi Sad, has a reputation as one of Europe's most wild and unforgettable parties, showcasing its lineup in a fortress overlooking the Danube.
Naturally, you'd think keeping on top of one major festival would be enough for anyone, but you'd be wrong. EXIT now has a repertoire of four festivals spread across four different countries. But one thing stands out above all else: they're all characterised by a distinctive vibe that marries diverse lineups with some of the continent's most beautiful locations.
Once again hitting up Serbia, Montenegro, Romania, and for the first time, Croatia this year, EXIT will be bringing its wild party to the four countries as part of its 2017 Summer of Love.
Here's a rundown of where you can catch the EXIT bug over the next few months.
Headliners: The Killers, Liam Gallagher, Hardwell
The jewel in the EXIT crown, their flagship festival is as much about the "other" entertainment as it is their top-level, spectrum-stretching lineup.
Not only does it take place inside an eighteenth century fort, but festival goers will have the chance to get involved in a huge variety of activities, including watersports on the Danube river and an entertainment park complete with bumper cars.
And when darkness falls the festival's site comes to life, filled with acrobats, dancers, street performers, entertainers, special effects and a colourful fireworks display that lights up the fortress.
When & Where: 5-9 July 2017, Novi Sad, Serbia

Held just a few days after EXIT, Sea Dance is the perfect afterparty to its older sibling. Jaz Beach, its home, is widely regarded as one of Europe's best, providing the perfect backdrop for cocktails, reggae and sunbathing by day, before the real party kicks off as darkness falls.
And because it takes place just after EXIT, the former festival lays on a shuttle service to transport festival-goers keen to keep their festival-holiday going.
When & Where: 13-15 July 2017, Budva, Montenegro
Headliners: The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, Paul Kalkbrenner
The latest festival to join the EXIT portfolio, Sea Star takes place for the first time later this month. Its debut will see its diverse lineup perform at the lush Stella Maris resort close to Umag: a town filled with rich Mediterranean spirit and historical architecture.
The resort itself includes five restaurants, numerous bars, a blue flag certified beach and an outdoor pool, while the adjacent coastline is ripe for cycling along with many cycle paths and local bike rentals in the area.
When & Where: 26-27 May 2017, Umag, Croatia
Headliners: Rudimental [DJ set], Sigala, Dubfire
From the beach to the city. Timisoara's Muzeul Satului Bănățean is turned into a hub of music and interactive art when Revolution rolls into town.
Welcoming over 300 artists into the museum's grounds, the festival has become one of Romania's most popular since its debut in 2015.
