Maybe because it happens in October, well after the usual festival season, but Austin City Limits is constantly overlooked when it comes to the best festivals in the world debate.
Ever year the Texan institution puts together arguably the most stacked lineup of any festival, and yet every year Coachella, Tomorrowland, and Glastonbury get all the hype.
Surprise announcing their entire lineup today, ACL's 2019 offering does not disappoint, mixing mega heavyweight acts with buzzworthy up-and-comers and vaunted underground acts.
Leading the festival this year are Guns N' Roses, The Cure, Mumford & Sons, Thom Yorke Tomorrow's Modern Boxes, Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, Cardi B (Weekend One only), Billie Eilish, and Robyn (weekend two only).
Supporting this enviable cast of headliners are the likes of Kacey Musgraves, The Raconteurs, James Blake, Lil Uzi Vert, 21 Savage, Kali Uchis, Rosalía, Kaytranada, Tierra Whack and Jenny Lewis.
In case that's not enough for you, other notable additions to the bill are The Comet Is Coming, IDLES, Faye Webster, and School of Rock.
That is a hell of a lot of firepower for one festival.
