To celebrate the 15th-anniversary of London-based independent music company Transgressive, UK indie behemoths Foals have been confirmed to headline their Spotlight Show at this year's The Great Escape.
Foals return once more to the famed seaside festival, where they justified the burgeoning industry buzz back in 2007 with an unforgettable show at 350-cap venue Horatio's on Brighton Pier. They'll play the city's Concorde 2 venue on Friday 10th May - an upgrade from their previous outing, but still an extremely intimate show for one of the UK's biggest rock bands over the past decade.
Supported by fellow Transgressive artists Blaenavon and Boniface, Transgressive Co-Founder Toby L added, "The Great Escape is easily one of the world's most progressive and exciting showcase platforms. It's fair to say we wanted to do something pretty big to launch our birthday year, and I guess that's how/why we've landed here. Foals have some incredible history with Concorde 2 and it seemed like an absolute dream to reunite them."
Albeit sold as a separate event to The Great Escape, it reaffirms the Brighton-based showcase weekender as the festival for new music and the next major industry talents.
