The Manic Street Preachers and more have been added to the PennFest 2018 lineup, due to take place this July.
Last November The Manics announced that they will be releasing their 13th studio album, Resistance is Futile, on 6 April this year. They will headline the Saturday of the festival.
On the album, the band said in a statement: "The main themes of Resistance is Futile are memory and loss; forgotten history; confused reality and art as a hiding place and inspiration.
"It’s obsessively melodic – in many ways referencing both the naive energy of Generation Terrorists and the orchestral sweep of Everything Must Go.
"After delay and difficulties getting started, the record has come together really quickly over the last few months through a surge of creativity and some old school hard work."
They join the already announced Roots Manuva, Kaiser Chiefs, Feeder and Example at the family-friendly weekender that has been laying on a lineup of music, workshops, theatre and circus for nearly ten years.
Clearly geared towards families, the festival jumps from headline sets to a huge variety of performers and entertainers for the little festival-goers, making sure there is literally something for every age.
Also announced today are Lethal Bizzle, Badly Drawn Boy, Mistajam, Melanie C, Starsailor and more.
