Tout a commencé en avril 2011, lorsque Zack, Jonathan et Jérôme - des amis de longue date- décident de partir ensemble pour le célèbre festival, Coachella.
Très vite, les questions s'enchaînent... "On campe ou on va à l'hôtel ?", "Mais est-ce que cet hôtel est pratique pour aller au festival ? Et le rapport qualité/prix ?", "Est-ce que ça vaut la peine de prendre un billet VIP ?", "On fait comment pour le transport sur place ?" Des recherches pénibles et des discussions à n'en plus finir pour au final perdre beaucoup de temps et exploser le budget.
Alors plutôt que d'aller à Coachella, ils ont changé de trajectoire et décidé de partir en mission : celle de créer une plateforme qui centraliserait les festivals, les hébergements et leurs offres, afin de permettre à la communauté des amateurs de musique live de se tenir au courant et de faire leurs réservations avec plus de facilité et de flexibilité. Après quelques semaines de brainstorming (et de nombreuses sessions Skype), Festicket voyait le jour.

Festicket, a UK-based seller of festival packages, has entered into an integration partnership with ticketing and event technology firm Eventbrite.

The difficulties of arranging accommodation and transfers for a trip they planned to the Coachella festival in California inspired friends Zach Sabban, 32, and Jonathan Younes, 32, to start this business in 2012.
They have since secured £7.5m from investors such as Lepe Partners to develop their online platform, which sells tickets and packages to more than 1,000 festivals worldwide. Festicket also reviews festivals and produces an online magazine to create a one-stop-shop for its 2.5m members.
The magazine has increased traffic to the site, helping to boost 2016 sales, which represent fees, to £16m. This year the London company opened offices in Germany and the Netherlands.

Festival Travel Site Festicket Raises $2.7M Series A
Festicket, the UK startup that offers a travel booking and discovery site for festival goers, has closed a $2.7 million Series A round. The new funding, which adds to a $680,000 seed round raised in March 2013, is being led by European VCs, Wellington Partners and PROfounders Capital. Previous investors, Windcrest Partners, Playfair Capital, and Jacques-Antoine Granjon (founder of vente-privee.com), also participated.
