Classical music has been around for what feels like forever. Though the genre dates all the way back to 500 A.D., Bach and Beethoven, from the mid 18th century, are the most widely recognized classical musicians for pioneering the genre.

Classical music is known for being highly sophisticated, with symphonies and operas. However, the genre is often mixed with electronic music in live shows today.

Classical festivals include the likes of Puccini Festival; Pittsburgh Bach, Beethoven and Brunch Classical Music Series; and Reminisce Festival.

Modern classical artists such as Joyce Didonato, Madama Butterfly, La Bohème, Alan Hartley, and Kenny Hayes can be seen playing at a number of Classical festivals.
