Hideout Festival 2020: 10 Artists We Can't Wait to See at its 10th Anniversary

Hideout Festival 2021

Hideout Festival 2021

Novaglia, Croazia

2020 sees Hideout Festival celebrate its 10th birthday on Croatia's Zrće beach, promising to mark the occasion with its biggest and best party to date.

Joining them in June 2020 will be a selection of our favourite artists from the worlds of house, drum and bass, garage, grime and more, who'll all play out across some of Novalja's most popular clubs, including Papaya, Kalypso, Aquarius and Noa.

And even though it may still be months away we're already getting excited for next summer to roll around, so we picked out ten artists from 2020's lineup that we can't wait to catch over in Croatia.

Andy C

The RAM Records owner has become drum and bass' foremost figure, winning Best DJ at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards every year since its inception in 2009. The respect he commands in the community is unparalleled, and his reach extends beyond drum and bass; in 2011, Mixmag readers voted him the 4th greatest DJ of all time (behind Tïesto, Richie Hawtin and Sven Väth).

Chase & Status

Another huge name in the drum and bass scene, titanic duo Chase & Status are similarly taking the genre to the masses, performing on festival main stages around the world. And collaborations with the likes of Rihanna, Pusha T, Cee Lo Green, Kano, Tinie Tempah and hordes more bona fide stars are testament to how far the pair have come since first making music together at university over a decade ago.

Mall Grab

Not many DJs have been making as many waves lately as Mall Grab, with the Australian DJ and producer just as adept at spinning lo-fi house as full-blown techno bangers. His own productions have been some of the most unique and interesting in the scene over recent years – from ‘Pool Party Music’ to ‘I’ve Always Liked Grime’ – always getting crowds going, no matter when or where he’s playing.

Shy FX

Ever since he crashed the UK's mainstream with Original Nuttah in 1994, Shy FX has become one of the country's most recognisable jungle producers.

Full of energy and bite, his sets are turbulent, lawless and chaotic.

CruCast

UK bass house collective and record label CruCast have been on an unrelenting rise these past years, bringing their high energy shows to festivals around Europe. 2020 will see them bring some of their core crew to Hideout for what will no doubt be a blistering set.

Hannah Wants

Ever since her life-changing trip to Ibiza back in 2010, Hannah Wants has become one of house music's most in-demand DJs. Hailing from Birmingham, Hannah is a champion of the new breed of bass-orientated, garage-influenced house of her hometown, culminating in full-throttle, high-energy sets.

Kings of the Rollers

Hospital Records' mainstays Kings of the Rollers are one of D&B's most exciting acts. The trio manage to keep their sound fresh while also staying true to the genre's roots, building on a solid foundation of jungle influences but layering it up with their rampant production and infectious DJ styles.

Ross From Friends

One of electronic music's men of the moment, Ross From Friends channels the experiences of his nomadic father who travelled Europe with a sound system in his van throughout the 80s, resulting in a sound that is as fitting in the midst of a midnight rave as it is inspiring a solitary daydream.

Jamie Jones

A man with a passion for moulding and stretching genres, Jamie Jones takes inspiration from everything from happy hardcore to acid house. His sets refuse to be pigeon-holed, while always keeping his distinctive warmer, more melodic sound present throughout. It's therefore no surprise the man is now one of the world's most revered.

Horse Meat Disco

Everyone's favourite south London disco collective, Horse Meat Disco have gone from an unassuming weekly party at a gay bar in London to stages at some of the biggest festivals worldwide, spreading their infectious love of the genre.

Hideout Festival 2020 will take place on 21-25 June 2020. Find out more on our guide, and book your trip to next summer's festival here.
